when will antiguan artists make us proud like we were with sweet little island girl and workie workie. i am a real music lover and would love to support antiguan music but where is the content.enough already with the gimmicks,tian is the best thing as far as quality but who is making possitive uplifting music that can shape the nation? who is speaking into the future of our youth? where is the industry going? uplift ,uplift ,uplift.as jah lion say,people of wadadli rise up,stop being foolish and wise up.

Whether or not the man is of a good morale fiber is irrelevant. By accepting a position in which there is even perceived conflict of interest, he has opened himself up to this type of speculation. Had he resigned as Tian's manager, then perhaps the m** would not have been whipped up into a frenzy, and we'd have had a little more carnival and a little less bacchanal. The thing is I enjoy Tian's music and the job the CDC has done with this year's carnival, all-in-all. The thing is we need to move away from this type of conflict of interest being acceptable. Remove ALL doubt and renounce one of the positions.

So Tian doesnt write all of his songs.... who does? Celine, Beyonce', our dear Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson? You honestly couldnt find fault in his performances so you attacked his writing skills. Its sad but one thing i know for sure.... he is coming harder next year and ready for all of you. You provoked him last year.... with the nasty comments and rumors and do you see how he retaliated.... with taking THE TWO CROWNS.... and he is going to do it AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN..... As it pertains to hard work, do any of you listen to Tian and his band and even his dancers when they are performing? That is hard work, dedication, raw talent and must i say practice sessions..... when you in your beds sleeping, they are working.

Its a shame that he won squarely and he cant even enjoy it. My heart bleeds for this child who anyone can see has worked hard. We dont have a culture that practice pride like Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados and we have the nerves to ask why Federation didnt take off. Where is our pride? where is the love for each other? I am reading posts on FB and Antiguans rejoicing that Daniel Bailey didnt make it. On the other hand, praising Bolt, Blake and even Asafa. Are we a nation going forward? Seriously, with this crab in barrel mentality? So small and shallow.....how far can we get?

Everybody cussing Tian and Claudette, they are the few who are taking this thing seriously. The others just think Antigua is a damn Pappy show. Burning Flames used to sing comical songs and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and perpetuating that side of soca.... Nothing is wrong with it, if that works for u, go right ahead. But will it give you a crown, because i am going to be an a@@ and assume that is why you are entering... to win.

Lime sponsors Tian, when Tizzy and Claudette faced off in 2007 or 2008 when Lime and Digicel sponsored both respectively, their props were more flamboyant than Tian's own, so how now they are saying its because of his Mgr. Most of his competitors have been singing long before him. What have they done with their monies?

This is so ridiculous now, its not even borderlining funny. Tian performed and he WON hands down!!!! It's no ifs, buts or because(his mgr is the CDC chairman). Ever since Kayode took up Tian's management, both of them have the same focus, and those are to make good music and to work hard no matter what. We have seen consistency from his team, management and his band.

Tian and iConic were hardly on shows last year. Did any of you hear them b**ching? Did u hear him in the media complaining? All of them took their blows silently. When he didn't win, he went and he hugged Hard Knaxx and was even jumping up with them.... was he cussing last year? NO HE NEVER CUSSED NOR COMPLAINED.

What we in antigua need to move away from is the belief that all people in authority are corrupt. Is he the chairman of himself? Can he by himself make decisions to influence any outcome? The answer is no. What we must recognise that there are still good people in antigua and because he is the manager of an individual, who by the way is one of the most talented artist in antigua, does not mean that he will sway things in his favour. And those of us who know O'Marde will know that he is an individual of sound character and high morals. Leave the damn people dem alone. Damn conflict of interest my ass.

You know at the end of the day who won, won. Whether or not O'Marde was CDC Chairman, Tian may have won anyway. That being said, with a new generation of Antiguans rising to positions of power, I hoped we could learn from the mistakes of our predecessors and avoid their shortfalls. Mr. O'Marde took a position which engendered blatant conflict of interest. Had he not done so, none of this controversy would have existed. I fear that the next generation of leaders will simply become the corrupt. unscrupulous, all talk no action bunch that our current leaders are.

What this show demonstrates is how little management skills the people at CDC and the Ministry have. As the winner of the 2011 soca monarch title Hard Knaxx was entitled to a show of support from the Ministry and CDC, they fell down on this, if they didn't, this young man would not be complaining as much as he has.

It is also their responsibility to promote him as much as possible during the year and up to the carnival season, since he is the current winner and should be able to add something to the current season.

Hard Knaxx does not have a good voice, or he needs to get a voice coach and hone his skill, but he does give a good stage performance. I am not sure with IBABA if he was telling us to work obeah or go to Tanzania. But he deserved more respect than he got and Antiguans should call the CDC and the Ministry on the carpet for that.

I personally thought that Tian won both competition but I also thought that if hard knaax was good enough to win last year then he was good enough to place last night. I cant help but think that the chairman of the CDC has done himself and Tian a great disservice by accepting that position. The number of jobs that he got for carnival and now his clean sweep are now tainted by their association. Mr. Omarde demostrated his naiveness when he did not perceive conflict of interest because of his position.

Tian was not a job for this competittion he went on stage and did what he had to do to win the resilts he got from the judges. He is human just like everyone else. He has no amount of money the only thing he has is his "name". Hard Knaxx has been dragging his name all along behind him rather than working on clarity and good performance of his alread poor quality of a tune. it is about time that all the haterz stop chewing on Tian's name like chewing gums. he performed and he won so its about time you let it go now.

The show was horrid, beneath what a show of this calibar should have been, but we can thank the CDC for this debacle. Tian should have been disqualified along with Hardknaxx for both their comments on stage. If Young destroyer and Tian were really fighting as people are saying backstage, definitely there should be disqualificatio ns.

Time for Antigua people to say enough is enough with these onesided shows, half of these artists were out of breath, they could not deliver their songs, it was just awful.

If this is something for the world stage, they better come again, cause not even the winner was that good. Lyricsman was good in the first round and should have placed.

This show was nothing to write home about, all of these artists should give back Antigua people their money they are going to get and offer them an apology. The CDC members should be fired over this fiasco, this years show is one where the artists should be told, sorry, go home nothing for you this year.

I guess the judges robbed poor Hard Knaxx as part of a massive conspiracy against him. Wonder if the CIA was involved? Imagine promoters of the fetes not wanting to make money by booking his awesome talent. Well since so many persons thought that he won and that his music is so good then they should all buy 1 CD for themself and another for a friend. That will surely make him happy. Or are these fans just fans with their mouth?
