Antigua St. John’s - It was a surprisingly all-male affair at the 2012 Source Teen Splash competition as the representatives of Antigua Grammar School (AGS), St. Joseph’s Academy (SJA) and Clare Hall Secondary (CHSS) led the way in the top spots to close the annual affair.
Contestant number seven – Winston Phoenix of AGS was adjudged the winner, while contestant number three – Linn-Donn Adams of SJA laid claim to the first runner up position, and contestant number four – Christopher Felipe of CHSS took the second runner up position.
Throughout the competition, Phoenix displayed his all-round abilities in intellect, creativity and the arts, but won only one individual title outside of the crown.
Adams won the question/answer and the pre-judged research segments, and the Most Photogenic award went to Janelle Brookes of the Antigua Girls’ High School.
The winners received laptop computers from the Ministry of Information, airline tickets from LIAT, as well as facials and zip-line tickets.
