Hell's Gate need a good lawyer! I had a look at the 2011 score sheets and JUDGE NUMBER 1's COMMENTS SAYS IT ALL!!! That 99 given to HALCYON is a glaring BIAS in a competition that based on what I gathered from the rules of the PAN ASSOCIATION as well as statistical principle should have five judges!!! Further the rules have been arrived at using the same premise for a few years now! Something WREAKS!! When will we have some journalists with some balls who will be willing to look into this saga? Granted the findings may implicate and incriminate local politicians, overseas arrangers, other steel bands, the pan association as well as the CDC.

The same how Stanford collapse and all the entities for football and panorama found new sponsors and renamed their institution, the same would happen if Digicel goes. We live in a society where we must accept all the changes and overcome all the obstacles that present themselves at this time. The economy is crumbling the world over, and not restricted to Antigua. Life goes on and the problems of the economy would not disappear whether we dance and prance for 2012 carnival or up until 2013. Get real! At least my own stupidity and ignorance is real. Go on and mope over what you cannot change. There are a lot of sick people around because of the negative energy that they consume themselves with. Be careful, be optimistic and see life through a difference lense. God Bless. Positive vibes my friend.

What will the orchestra be called when Digicel pulls out of Antigua? While you're dancing and prancing the economy is crumbling. The problem will still be there after carnival. so you are right - you should not condone your own stupidity or ignorance :-|

I do not condone stupidity and/or ignorance. Now, Digicel announces sponsorship of Halycon Steel, and this is because for some reason or other (perhaps a business decision) Hadeed cannot afford to sponsor them anymore, so they went to Digicel. What does this have to do with Mansoor or PM. Halcyon is not the PMs Band, it so happens that he is affiliated with this institution even before assuming the role of PM. Folks, it is not everything that we do is a political move. Lets talk carnival for this season and not politics!!! How is the carnival so far? Do you think the rain would pospone Queen show tonight? Do you think that we would have a wet panorama this year again? Just saying......... .....

I am happy pan is getting a big time corporate sponsor behind it, but why must the sponsor's name come before that of the band? Its the same with sports teams and any event in this country. Rather than name the band Digicel Halcyon Steel Orchestra, why not name is Halycon Steel Orchestra, powered by Digicel. We need to stop slapping the names of foreign companies in front of our local entities as if their names are more important than ours.

APUA is Antigua & Barbuda for life, NOT Digicel! sorry u can't fool me. You're not a native company. You can pull the plug on Antigua anyday. So that nice jingle you play on the radio doesn't mean diddly squat to me as a born and bred Antiguan. Ya dig?
