Antigua St. John’s - It’s official; Carnival 2012 under the theme “Iin Living Colour” was successfully launched on Saturday amidst an explosion of colour, splendour music and revelry.
Led by Parade Grand Master, veteran bandleader Colin “Wanga” Martin, over 20 mas’ troupes, groups, floats and contestants paraded through the city before converging on the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG), Carnival City.
Building on a stage already set by a series of fetes organised over the past several weeks and culminating on Friday with the acclaimed Bacchanal ‘all you can drink’ affair, the Scotiabank Opening Parade was observed by thousands who lined the streets of St. Johns.
The Caribbean’s greatest summer festival is now in living colour.
Culture Minister Eleston Adams officially named the ARG as Carnival City to house this year’s 11 days of festivities.

A Scripture was simply quoted verbatim. Take that up with God if you have a problem with HIS word.
As soon as I don't like what the Bible says, I accuse others of "judging" me.
