Antigua St John's - The Carnival Development Committee (CDC) has reminded stakeholders that registration for the various competitions for Carnival 2012 is open.

Artistes registering for the first time are asked to present proof of Antigua & Barbuda citizenship.
 
Citizens between the ages of 18 to 25 years interested in becoming a Queen of Carnival contestant were also reminded that along with a completed application forms, the following will also be needed: two (2) 5”x7” photos (inclusive of a half and full shot of yourself), two reference letters, and a biography.

The registration fees for the disciplines currently opened are as follows:  

* Teen Splash  $10.00
* Queen of Carnival $50.00
* Calypso Monarch $50.00
* Party Monarch  $50.00
* Cheers Leaders $150.00
* T-Shirt Mas   $100.00
* Floats   $100.00
* J’Ouvert Band  $100.00
* Vendors (deposit) $50.00

Registration forms are available at the National Festivals Office, 1st Floor Pigotts’ Mall, Corner of Market and Redcliffe Streets, Mondays to Thursdays 8 am to 4:30 pm, and on Fridays, 8 am to 3 pm.
