Well after giving those scholarships, how much fencing money xxx off is left?

Let me see $50million dived by 5 = $10million per scholarship? Not bad! Not bad at all!

There is a big belly lecturer and his go go dancer shoe wearing counterpart who cannot pass the same tests that they set for students. And you wonder why they keep saying people bringing down the reputation of the school when they are the ones doing it to their own school. :-x

about xx% of the students at ABHTI are on scholarship. This is particularly high for such a small institute. Oh well, more free labour for restaurant service, cooking and conferences.

Curious

from ridiculous to even more ridiculous

#6 Joe Joe » 2012-08-27 16:14

Resort Management? What program is this now? Does this fall under the Caribbean Tourism Organizations' Caribbean Tourism Learning System Syllabus? Or is this merely an attempt to create some autonomy so that ABHTI Management can do what they like without accountability? What synergy does this course have in the context of a student wanting to go on and do a Bachelor degree? Will their credits be recognized? Who will teach this course? What is the difference between this programme and Hospitality Management? ABHTI needs to perfect what they are currently offering before any new "innovative" progammes are offered. This place is moving from ridiculous to even more ridiculous.

Job Practice

#5 A Student » 2012-08-27 15:34

it is two months into the period set aside for job practice and a good amount of us have not been placed. Some working students have actually gone on leave in order to go on job practice but are still home waiting. The academic Director needs direction and is frustrated not knowing what to do or where to place them. "To whom much is given, much is expected>" Step up and be a man AD and find the people and dem places. They too want a chance to get paid so they can fete and party for Carnival next year.

I really don't want to "deter" these five students from studying at ABHTI, as they themselves will have to stand their ground in order not to be "mistreated" at the school, which some of us know has come under a lot of "criticism" from its students! Yet, as our leaders "pursue" their agenda, in these "gift" exchanges, they should know that many in the public are not that "gullible!" They were many "promises" made to my constituency of Rural South but Junior continues to sing "A Real Plan For Real People!" A "mansion-on-the -hill" is perhaps one of them! When will our leaders learn it is not about them, and, a sound and effective "human and social development" is a "never-ending" process with no "delays" or "time-off!"

Has ABHTI sent out the acceptance letters to the students for the 2012 school year? Applicants still wait patiently but I guess the 12 week summer course takes priority over the school's regular operations.

I am glad for the persons who got the "scholarship"; however, I just want Winston to know that his time as Member of Parliament for Rural South has passed. We will see how genuine you (Winston) are after you lose again.
