Antigua St John's - The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS) and the University of Winnipeg are offering academic scholarships to qualified candidates of the
Americas to further their education

Study Institution: The University of Winnipeg
Program: Master’s in Development Practice in Indigenous Development
Program Details: The MDP program trains interdisciplinary development practitioners across the core areas of health, natural sciences / environment, social sciences, and economics / management. There is a strong emphasis on the development of both analytical and applied skills in both the program and field-training.

Application Deadlines: Application for admission to the University of Winnipeg is April 30th, 2012.

Application for the OAS/Winnipeg Scholarship to the OAS is May 31st, 2012.

Duration of Program: 2 years; begins September 2012.

Program Modality: Onsite program in Winnipeg, Canada.

Language of Instruction: English.

Scholarship Benefits: The OAS‐University of Winnipeg scholarships will cover 100% of tuition fees and US$2,000 to help defray the cost of books and study material of each OAS/Winnipeg scholarship recipient registered in the program.

Application Deadlines: Application for admission to RIT is July 15th, 2012.

Application for the OAS/RIT Scholarship to the OAS is August 1st, 2012.

Duration of Program: 1- 2 years, begins September 2012.

Program Modality: These programs will be delivered online through the RIT’s online platform.

Language of Instruction: English.

Scholarship Benefits: The top selected candidates will receive 80% tuition scholarships (of the 48 credit hour programs listed in section 1.1 of the announcement), while the remaining candidates that are offered admission to RIT will receive 50% tuition scholarships for any of the programs listed in section 1.1. of the announcement.

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat wishes to bring to the attention of Member States the attached Note No. 01/2012/AID received from the Australian High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago inviting applications to the Third Round of Scholarships for study in Australia commencing January 2013.

This offer is made possible by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).

Details with regard to types of awards and procedures for application are included in the note attached.
The deadline for submission of applications for study in Australia for the academic year beginning in January 2013 is 30 April 2012.

On-line applications are the preferred method and should be submitted to http://oasis.ausaid.qov.au. However, if only hard copies can be submitted, these should be sent to the Australian High Commission in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago for the attention of:
