Notes From A Native Son Of The Rock! It has been said that the People get the Government they deserve. Did the People Get Their Constitution? This commenter suggests that the Representatives of 95% of the people of African descent at that Time & Space approached the Colonial Masters not as Subjects but as Objects since we did not base our revoluntionary ideas on our location, events, personalities, politics, economics, social & technological environment but as a people rooted in black disorientation, decenteredness & lack of Agency. Amend The Constitution! Abolish The Senate! Every Elector Elect The Elected. Oh Gad! Pray Wid Mi!

Notes From A Native Son Of The Rock! Since the Senators Historic Vote, this commenter has been quoting extensively from the Constitution, providing its URL from the GoAB's Website, yes Tenman, E A De Real Wan!, & suggesting Transformation of the Entire Constitution including abolishing the Senate. Who cares about the Senate - not the people. The Politicos, their Sycophants & "Hangers On." The "Bewildered & Bemused Electorate" have moved on to other "Frivolities" & "Uglies". Let Us Alone! Wi Lub Ugly & enjoy the "cut & thrust" of politicos rather than focus on the Root Causes. Our Politicos are men & women like us, many with no special talents for administrative, executive & legislative governance, or business acumen. They possess skills for tearing each other apart, gaining power and holding office with all the perks & trappings engaging in the processs to manipulate & promise needy people things the are panting & pining for, like man's best friend, with few possibilities.

Colin, well said. When we allow government to provide bad stewardship, the mess will continue. The system is then blamed for what in many aspects is allowed laziness and rewarding incompetence. Another example of this is at ABEC where some politicians waited until the last minute to look at the voter lists when there were procedures which allowed them to monitor and fix issues in real time. Your article reminds me of the comic strip pogo quote: ..
