Slogan Sought for Bigger Mango Fest

Organisers are aiming to invite the world to the Christian Valley Mango Fest 2010. The 2010 committee is arranging promotion of the festival in the United Kingdom, the United States, and regionally. They have already received proposals from companies in Trinidad and Spain that are interested in participating.
Mango Fest will be launched on May 6, and held on August 14 and 15. The popular Magic Mango Menu Culinary competition is set for August 7. Meanwhile, plans for a pineapple festival have been shelved, but Pineapple Awareness Day is set for May 20.
April 26 will see a "fruit–off" among schools at the House of Culture. This competition focuses on the literary arts and requires participants to engage in dramatic presentation, poems, or songs about the mango/pineapple. Presentations must highlight interesting facts about the fruits or tell an interesting story. Costumes can also be used.
The Mango Festival website, sponsored by Search Antigua, has been upgraded to be more interactive. One of the festival’s main objectives for 2010, according to organisers, is to engage the public in various activities, beginning with a slogan competition.

The deadline for the best slogan - using the mantra, "bigger better, more diverse" - is April 26. All slogans must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. Entrants should address all submissions to the PR chairperson, with names, address, a paragraph as to why that slogan suits the mantra, and contact information.
