Located in Radio Range on the hillside overlooking St. John’s, the Central Baptist Church is a part of a complex of buildings shared with the Baptist Academy.
The main purpose of this Church is to glorify God, which it has been doing in Antigua and Barbuda since the beginning of its Ministry in 1965. Jonas was ordained on 31st December, 1985, and is the first Antiguan born national to serve as Pastor/Presiding Elder.
The Central Baptist Church is the oldest surviving Baptist Church in Antigua, and has founded the East Caribbean Baptist Mission (ECBM), planted other Churches and conducted a variety of Ministries including the Baptist Academy of Antigua, the Sovereign Grace Hour television and radio ministry, the Family Training Institute and Counseling Service and the Baptist Retreat Center.
