Alpha Antigua will host a day of orientation for the nation’s clergy and lay leaders on September 18th at the Methodist Conference Center, Scotts Hill.
The objective of the program is to sensitize leaders to the purpose, principles and practicalities of Alpha, as well as to provide testimonials on its life-changing attributes. The agenda will run from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, with lunch and breaks offered.
According to a spokesperson for the organization, “ this orientation initiative is primarily a precursor to a two-day training session which will be conducted in Antigua on November 6th – 7th by an Alpha Team out of the United Kingdom. Responses so far have been good, and we are expecting solid attendance at both conferences.”
The Alpha program is an effective evangelizing tool which is offered globally to churches of every denomination, including Anglican, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Moravian, Pentecostal, Salvation Army, Lutheran and all other Christian faiths.
