Promoters of the J Holiday show, which was cancelled last Saturday, said the event had to be postponed due to circumstances beyond their control. They apologised for any inconvenience caused, but assured Caribarena.com that the show will definitely be staged on Saturday March 13. Those who already purchased tickets can still use them.
"It was an act of God, a major snow storm that prevented everything," the promoter explained.
The American R&B singer was also scheduled to perform in St Vincent and then Grenada, but those promoters also had to make adjustments and now he will perform this weekend in both islands.
J Holiday is to make his appearance here in Antigua at the Rush Night Club, which the promoters said will be transformed into the love zone. "It's going to be a night of love, an all-night love affair," they said.
J Holiday is known for his back to back number one singles "Suffocate" and "Bed" between 2007 and 2008. His album, Back of My Lac, debuted at number one on the R&B charts and sold nearly 800,000 copies. He was nominated by both American Music Awards and BET for best male R&B artist and was also a Grammy award nominee for best contemporary R&B album.
He's now on a Caribbean tour and Antigua is right in the middle of the action. Other acts scheduled for this event will be Carlos Turner, known to Antigua as the reggae R&B soul-child, Amanda Tappin, aka Christis, and Promise. Early music will be provided by Dj Sean and Dj Stainless of the Entertainment Buzz.
The night promises to be full of entertainment and clean fun for all.
