Obama Park Needs A LogoArtists are being challenged to come up with a logo for the Mount Obama National Park. A release from the Mount Obama Committee made the announcement.

The competition is open to visual artists of all disciplines of art and design, including but not limited to fine arts, graphic design, visual communication, and media design.

Each entrant can submit up to two logos. Those interested should submit their logo before midnight on Friday, July 30, as no entries will be accepted after this closing date.

The email must include the name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the entrant.

It's sad to see certain portions of Antiguan society get roped into believing in a person who not Antiguan and has accomplished nothing but disruption to the US and has no history of any productive accomplishments. People should wait and see what good comes from a person before they start naming parts of their country after them.

This is just ludicrous. I am so embarra*sed to be an Antiguan sometimes. I was strongly objected to Boggy Peak being renamed to Mount Obama! What has Obama done for us?? He is the president of the United States of America!! Him being elected was history for Americans but it had no bearing on Antigua, not even black history for that matter. Are black people better off today because Obama is the president of the USA?? Sometimes I wonder who is advising our Prime Minister! Mr. Spencer, I am very very disappointed. It is not too late to learn from your mistake. The whole Mt. Obama ignorance is absurd! Great leaders learn from their mistakes and do the things necessary to correct what is wrong instead of being stubborn and exacerbate their ill decisions.

what is wrong with people in Antigua...we should not even have an Obama Hill...mountain...park...not even a dunghill....chuuuups....we dont even have monuments for our national heroes. When will we love our own? The government of the country where Obama spent his early years of childhood, and went to school, attempted after his appointment of president, to erect a sculpture of him as a boy...and the nation protested. Name of country evades me right now)...h**l the man nah even 'kay' he nah even send one representative or family member to the opening ceremonies. When will we grow up in Antigua!!!
